ABOUT US

Using media, apparel and partnerships we aim to spread the message that embracing suffering and carrying your cross builds virtue, teaches us how to love and leads us on the path of Christ. Carry Your Cross was started as Christian apparel brand in 2018 by two young men who over their college years connected and grew deeply in their Catholic faith.

Through our own trials and tribulations we’ve learned that when we are the weakest, we truly come closest to God. It is in the darkness that the light becomes the strongest.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

2 Corinthians 12:9-11

We want Carry Your Cross to be a message that the world hears loudly. Carrying your cross is a rite of passage. It’s a way of living. If we can bring more souls to Christ through this message then we are doing our job.

Human suffering is one of the biggest questions and objections to the existence of God. The world was redeemed by human suffering, by Christ on the cross at Calvary. When Jesus came, he did not come to remove suffering from the world, but to fill his presence with it. If there’s one thing we know, human suffering is inevitable. Just look around you.

Those who share in the sufferings of Christ are also called, through their own sufferings, to share in glory”

St. John Paul II

Even though we don’t want suffering, it has the ability to mold us like a blacksmith forging a sword in the burning fire.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church states, “By his passion and death on the cross Christ has given a new meaning to suffering: it can henceforth configure us to him and unite us with his redemptive passion.” (1505)
